It does this by automatically shortening the roasting duration to achieve the desired browning. The four separate heating elements of the 1000 watt toaster brown both sides of a slice of bread evenly. The result is a crunchy exterior with a soft heart: an authentic ZWILLING toast. When the toast is ready, it doesn't fly out of the toaster. The soft-lift function ensures a slight upward glide and the integrated extra-lift function ensures that even the smallest slices can be easily removed from the toaster. You will never burn toast again: this toaster switches off automatically when the preset toasting duration is reached. Even at the highest settings, you'll never have a burnt toast. The stop button allows you to stop roasting at any time. The crumbs fall into the special tray that is easy to remove. The toaster has seven browning levels and three automatic programs. The reheat function allows you to reheat cold toast. The defrost function allows you to toast freshly taken out of the freezer. The bagel function with slice centering allows you to achieve ideal “bagel” toasting results: crunchy on the outside, toasted on the inside.
